Crispy Gobi Paratha is another famous paratha from Punjab along with aloo paratha and paneer paratha etc. It is healthy, easy to make and stomach filling breakfast. Kids are love to eat and can be enjoyed as a weekend breakfast.

Ingredients

  • Grated Cauliflower(Gobi) 1 cup
  • Whole Wheat Flour 1-1/2 cup
  • Asafoetida or Hing
  • Red Chili Powder 1/2 Tsp
  • Coriander Powder 1 Tsp
  • Whole Cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Grated Ginger 1 Tbsp
  • Garam Masala Powder 1/2 Tbsp
  • Salt to Taste
  • Green Chili 1 Tsp
  • Finely Chopped Coriander
  • Oil
  • Curd

Directions

1First of all, to prepare Crispy Gobi Paratha, grab a big mixing bowl. Next, add 1cup whole wheat flour,1 tsp oil and a pinch of salt. Mix it well. Now, add 1/2 cup water. Then, knead until it forms a smooth and soft dough. Be gentle with your dough at all times. Thereafter, cover it and let the dough rest for 15-20 min.

2Therefore, to make stuffing for the Gobi paratha. Next, heat oil in a pan, add whole cumin seeds, fry it for 3 seconds. Then, add a pinch of asafoetida, coriander powder, green chilies, ginger. Then, time to add grated cauliflower. Next, add red chili powder,garam masala powder, salt and combine them well. When the masala stuffing is ready. Then, the next step will be making paratha.

3 Therefore, knead the dough once and make an equal size of dough balls. Then, take one dough ball and dust it with dry flour. Roll it into flatbread shape. Next, place the stuffing at the center. Amount of stuffings may increase or decrease as per your choice. Then, seal the edges. Press it evenly. Next, apply little flour on both sides. Then,roll it and apply dry flour, if needed.

4Next, time to turn on the flame and heat a tawa on medium heat. Therefore, Place one paratha on hot tawa and cook it for 10 seconds. Thereafter, flip it and again cook it for 10 seconds. Apply oil. Then, flip it again and apply oil again on the other side of the paratha. Therefore, cook the paratha till it turns golden from both sides. Hot and crispy Gobi Paratha is ready to serve with curd or pickle. Enjoy with your family and friends.
