Soya chunks is a defatted soy flour product. It is frequently used as a meat extender. It is easy and quick to cook, with a protein content comparable to a certain meat. Tender chili soya chunks is a vegan recipe.
  • Soy chunks 200gm
  • Oil 1and1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 2tbsp
  • Black Pepper powder
  • Dark Soy Sauce
  • Cornflour
  • All-purpose Flour 1tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Lemon Juice 2tbsp
  • Chopped Ginger and garlic each 1and 1/2 tbsp
  • Cut Bell Pepper and Onion(diced)
  • Green Chillies (deseed)
  • Brown Sugar


1For making Tender chili Soya Chunks, we need a mixing bowl for marination. Then add 200gm Soya chunks(3cups of boiled water, add soya chunks leave them in hot water till they soften), ginger garlic paste, all-Purpose Flour, Corn Flour, salt as per taste, Rest them for 5-6mins. Heat oil in the pan, you can fry deep or shallow and always cook under medium flame. Fry all the chunks in the same manner.


For sauce or gravy, Heat 1and1/2 tbsp oil in the wok, add chopped ginger and garlic, stir them well. Then add green chilies, saute for 20sec under low flame. Now add Dark soya sauce, Green Chilli sauce, black pepper powder, lemon juice combine them well. Later add bell pepper and onions. Saute for 2 mins under high flame(don’t overcook).

3Now add Corn flour Slurry and mix them well. Then reduce flame and add soya chunks and mix till soya chunks mixed well in the gravy. Tender Chilli Soya Chunks is ready.
